Fast access still requires good clinical judgment.
Same-day care works best when the concern can be reasonably evaluated through history, available vital signs, visual information, and other data that can be obtained remotely. When that is not enough, the plan should change.

Review symptoms, timing, severity, relevant medical history, medications, exposures, home vital signs, and other useful information.

Some conditions can be safely treated virtually. Others require examination, laboratory testing, imaging, or direct assessment before a diagnosis or treatment decision can be made.
Begin appropriate treatment

Review symptom duration, severity, fever, exposures, and whether testing or examination may be needed before treatment.
Selected rashes & skin concerns
Some visible skin conditions can begin with virtual evaluation when image quality, symptoms, and history provide enough information for a safe assessment.
Selected urinary symptoms
Some uncomplicated urinary concerns can begin through telehealth, while fever, flank pain, pregnancy, recurrent infection, or other risk factors may require local testing or examination.
Nausea, diarrhea & mild GI symptoms
Review hydration, duration, exposures, medications, abdominal symptoms, and warning signs that may require examination or emergency evaluation.
Short-term medication concerns
Evaluate selected side effects, medication questions, uncomplicated treatment issues, or short-term changes when the clinical situation can be assessed safely through telehealth.

Telehealth-First Acute Care
Some diagnoses need hands, instruments, imaging, or laboratory data.
A virtual visit cannot reproduce every part of a physical examination. Once services launch, Alderon will recommend local evaluation when examination findings, diagnostic testing, imaging, procedures, or a higher level of monitoring are important to safe care.
That may mean a laboratory visit, imaging center, urgent-care clinic, emergency department, or another local healthcare setting depending on the clinical situation.
Virtual evaluation may use:
- Detailed symptom history
- Home temperature and vital signs
- Visual examination through video
- Patient-provided photographs when appropriate
- Local laboratory or imaging results
- Follow-up after treatment begins
Emergency Symptoms
Same-day care is not emergency care.
Do not wait for a routine telehealth appointment during a possible emergency.
Severe chest pain or pressure, severe difficulty breathing, stroke symptoms, loss of consciousness, uncontrolled bleeding, severe abdominal pain, severe allergic reaction, seizure, significant confusion, rapidly worsening illness, suicidal crisis, or another potentially life-threatening condition requires immediate evaluation. Call 911 or seek emergency care when appropriate.

Is Alderon an urgent-care clinic?
No. Alderon is being built to offer telehealth-first same-day evaluation for appropriate nonemergency concerns. Once services launch, some problems may be treated virtually, while others will require local urgent care, emergency care, examination, testing, imaging, or procedures.
Can antibiotics be prescribed through a virtual visit?
Once services launch, antibiotics may be prescribed when the clinical evaluation supports a bacterial infection for which virtual management is appropriate. They will not be automatically prescribed for respiratory, sinus, urinary, or other symptoms without an appropriate clinical basis.
What if you cannot diagnose my problem by video?
Once services launch, Alderon may recommend laboratory testing, imaging, an in-person examination, urgent care, emergency care, or another appropriate evaluation rather than guessing through telehealth.
Can I use same-day care if I am already an Alderon patient?
Once services launch, when scheduling availability and the clinical situation allow, selected acute concerns may be evaluated within the same ongoing care relationship rather than through an unrelated one-time service.
Can Alderon order laboratory tests or imaging?
Once services launch, when clinically appropriate, Alderon may coordinate local laboratory testing, imaging, or another diagnostic service as part of the evaluation.
What if my symptoms get worse after the visit?
Follow the return precautions and treatment plan provided during the visit. Worsening or concerning symptoms may require repeat evaluation, local urgent care, or emergency care depending on the situation.
