A telehealth primary care practice should still feel like primary care.
Technology can make healthcare easier to reach, but convenience alone does not create good primary care. Alderon is being built around continuity, thoughtful communication, clinical context, and responsibility for what happens after the appointment.
The model has a strong clinical foundation: The Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality describes high-quality primary care around whole-person care, access, comprehensiveness, coordination, and continuity through sustained relationships.
Access without fragmentation
The model is intended to reduce barriers to seeing a clinician without turning every new concern into a completely separate healthcare encounter.
Prevention before crisis
Primary care has value long before someone feels seriously ill. Screening, risk reduction, medication management, and early treatment can influence health for years.
Context that follows the patient
Medications, prior results, chronic conditions, preventive needs, referrals, and new symptoms can become more useful when they remain part of one continuing clinical story.

The Alderon Care Model
Primary care is broader than treating today’s symptom.
Alderon’s telehealth primary care practice is being designed to connect preventive care, chronic-condition management, appropriate acute concerns, medications, health programs, and transitions after hospital care within one longitudinal relationship.
Once services are live, when a health need falls outside what can safely or appropriately be handled virtually, the care plan may include local testing, imaging, examination, specialty consultation, or a higher level of care.
The planned care model can include

Telehealth-First
Technology is the access point—not the point of the practice.
Alderon plans to use telehealth because many primary-care conversations, medication reviews, preventive visits, chronic-condition follow-ups, result reviews, and selected new concerns may be managed without requiring the patient to travel to an office.
The purpose is not to force every health problem onto a screen. The model is intended to use the most appropriate setting for the clinical need while preserving continuity across settings.

A practice shaped by frontline clinical care.
Alderon Medical was founded by Shane Mass, DMSc, PA-C, a physician associate whose clinical background includes emergency medicine, trauma, and critical-care environments. That experience helped shape the developing practice model around prevention, earlier intervention, continuity, clear communication, and helping patients navigate what happens next.
